Academic Dishonesty and Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Students are expected to read the plagiarism guidelines.

Comments indicating strengths and areas in need of improvement will be included in the feedback. Details about the evaluation policy for a specific course will be given by the teacher.

Class Participation: Students will be asked to participate in group discussions in an online chat, threaded discussions in a virtual classroom setting, and activities or assignments related to the Health and Physical Education curriculum expectations for PAQ2O and PLF4M that are not covered through the Life Saving Society course expectations. Discussion and online classroom areas will be monitored by the teacher.

Communication: Constant communication between teacher and student is essential for success in a course. In addition to ongoing e-mail communication, teachers will make themselves available to students for help during a specific time identified as “office hours”. If the teacher is ill or absent, a message will be posted which will open automatically for students informing them of the situation. Students will also receive regular telephone calls or messages from the teacher in order to help the student be successful with the program.

Course Withdrawal: To withdraw (cancel) from the YRDSB Aquatic Leadership Program, the student must send an e-mail to the teacher and to aquaticleadership@yrdsb.ca . The mark will be the average of all work, including zeros for work not submitted up to and including the final exam.
