Andre De Grasse to Visit High School

What:

Andre De Grasse, triple Olympic medalist in Rio de Janeiro and reigning Pan Am champion, will return to his alma mater, Milliken Mills High School, to join students in the Terry Fox run.

Andre will share details of his success and experiences with students before the run.

Where:

2:30 p.m. – Talk with students (Markham Crier to cry him in)
3:00 p.m. (approx.) – Terry Fox run

Why:

Andre’s success in track and field serves as an inspiration to many Milliken Mills High School students. Originally a basketball player at Milliken Mills High School, Andre, who excelled at running, switched to track and field at the encouragement of a teacher-coach.
