Aldergrove Public School students will present Asian/South Asian Heritage Celebration Performances that represent “learning through the arts.” The performance features a modern interpretation of The Conference of the Birds, a thirteenth century Sufi story from Persia in which a group of birds set off to find the answers to the problems of the world.

Aldergrove students will add stories, music and dances from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, China, Korea and Tibet that celebrate Asian/South Asian cultures and echo the story’s call for social responsibility and courage.
