What:
Grade 1 students from Ventura Park Public School will tour Vaughan City Hall and visit the Council Chambers. The students will learn about the architectural features of city hall and will take part in activities related to city building. They will tweet about their experiences and observations while they are there.
Students will use a 360 camera to capture their experiences while on site so that they can continue their learning by exploring the building once they have returned to their school.
Students will also meet the Mayor of Vaughan and plan to share their thinking and observations with him.

Why:
Students are visiting Vaughan City Hall as part of their communities unit in Social Studies. The visit is also reflective of the school’s commitment to support modern learning.
