What:
Highgate P.S. will be celebrating International Literacy Day through a variety of innovative literacy-based activities with a particular focus on social justice and human rights. Activities for the day will also integrate elements of learning from different curriculum areas including:
- Physical and Health Education
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
- Arts
- Indigenous Education

To highlight the importance of literacy for individuals, communities and societies, and the need for intensified efforts towards more literate societies.
