Markham Student Wins Schulich Leadership Scholarship

Markham, ONMarkham D.H.S. Student Tomas Frankovich is one of 100 students across Canada who has been awarded a Schulich Leadership Scholarship to support his post-secondary aspirations.  

Schulich Leadership Scholarships are offered to 100 high school graduates across Canada enrolling in a science, technology, engineering or math post-secondary program at one of 20 universities. 

“Tomas is a well-rounded student who has chosen to study Chemistry at McMaster University. He is now part of an esteemed network of national STEM scholars at one of Canada’s leading universities,” said Markham D.H.S. Guidance and Career Education Subject Head Gabrielle McGill.

Looking beyond his undergrad, he is considering graduate school or pursuing a career in chemistry, possibly both.  He’s hoping to participate in a work program during university to help him with his decision.
