York Region District School Board will host a unity rally, Ring of Peace: Inspire Learning, Inspire Action!, to show support for safe, inclusionary spaces free from discrimination and hate for all learners in York Region. The rally is being organized in light of recent local and global incidents of discrimination and hate that have affected York Region students, staff and communities.
The rally will feature various speakers, an a cappella performance and Indigenous Way of Being with drumming. Staff and students from across York Region will come together, take part in a walk of reflection and form a ring of peace.
