Students from York Region District School Board will be competing in the Skills Ontario Cardboard Boat Race Challenge. Students will compete in teams of four and will be challenged to build a floating structure designed to outperform competitor’s vessels in speed and weight challenges.

9:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Note to Editors: Best time for photos:
9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Students will be designing and constructing their boats.
12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Students will race their boats and compete in weight challenges.
Why:
To provide student’s with a unique opportunity to test their design and building abilities.
Who:
Students and staff from YRDSB as well as students from other Boards in the Greater Toronto Area.
