​What & Why:

Organized by YRDSB students and vice-principals, the 14th Annual Fusion Conference seeks to engage students in dialogue around issues related to equity and inclusivity. Students will be inspired, encouraged and motivated to take action and make a positive impact in the world. The theme of this year’s conference is “Lead a Legacy”.

Student workshops will include:

  • Lights, Camera, TAKE ACTION
  • Positively Kindness
  • Youth Empowerment and Poverty Reduction in York Region
  • GSA – “That’s SO GAY” We’ve got much MORE to SAY!
  • One Silver Lining
  • Learning for All
  • Sticks and Stones – Explore Teen Relationships
  • The Indigenous History You’ve Never Been Taught
  • No Haters Allowed – Reporting and Investigating Hate Crimes
  • Equity 101

Who:

Each YRDSB secondary school is invited to send a team of 7 Grade 10 students and a staff advisor. Registration is required.
