What & Why:
Organized by YRDSB students and vice-principals, the 14th Annual Fusion Conference seeks to engage students in dialogue around issues related to equity and inclusivity. Students will be inspired, encouraged and motivated to take action and make a positive impact in the world. The theme of this year’s conference is “Lead a Legacy”.
Student workshops will include:
- Lights, Camera, TAKE ACTION
- Positively Kindness
- Youth Empowerment and Poverty Reduction in York Region
- GSA – “That’s SO GAY” We’ve got much MORE to SAY!
- One Silver Lining
- Learning for All
- Sticks and Stones – Explore Teen Relationships
- The Indigenous History You’ve Never Been Taught
- No Haters Allowed – Reporting and Investigating Hate Crimes
- Equity 101
