Pathways to the Skilled Trades - Family Engagement Evening

The Pathways Team in Curriculum & Instructional Services in collaboration with the York Catholic District School Board and Workforce Planning Board of York Region invites families of students in Grades 9-11 to attend a Skilled Trades and Technology Career Planning Information Night. The goal of this event is to inspire students to take their first step towards a career in industries that are constantly innovating, on the cutting edge of emerging technologies, and making a critical difference in people’s lives.  Students will have the opportunity to learn about some of Ontario’s 140+ trades through presentations, a career panel and information booths. They will hear directly from former York Region students, tradespeople and local employers about life-changing career opportunities.

 

This event is taking place from 6:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Our Lady Queen of the World (10475 Bayview Ave, Richmond Hill, ON).  

 

Registration Process:

  • You are invited to secure your space through our YRDSB Skilled Trades &Tech Info Night Registration.  The form will close when spaces are full

  • Space is limited for each secondary student to bring 1 family member.  A confirmation email will be sent to confirm your request and further details will be emailed to you prior to the evening event.

  • In the registration form, you will have the opportunity to ask questions in advance that will be answered during the career panel discussion.
