An a capella student choir from Sir William Mulock SS won first place in the CBC 2024 Canadian Music Class Challenge in the Senior Vocal category.
Under the direction of teacher Christopher Uchida, Enter A Cappella won the Senior Vocal (Grades 11-12) category with an a capella performance of "Life Is" by Arkells. The judges commented on the group’s ability to demonstrate cohesion and musicality despite incorporating seven new members into the ensemble.
The school will receive $3,000 in new musical instruments and a plaque for display.
