To honour the legacy of Hodan Nalayeh, staff and students at Hodan Nalayeh S.S. planned a day full of activities. Students had an opportunity to learn more about Hodan Nalayeh, to celebrate the school renaming last year and to come together as a school community.
"It's been incredible to see the students celebrating the Hodan Nalayeh Spirit Day," said Sahra Nalayeh, Hodan Nalayeh's sister. "We're just thrilled to see that she's just not a name on the school, but that her spirit lives on within the school as well."
The school was renamed after Hodan Nalayeh last school year.
