Tune In YDRSB: Secondary School Athletics

Listen to representatives from York Region Athletic Association speak with a coach and two student athletes about what secondary school athletics mean to them, what it was like during the pandemic and how they feel to be back playing sports again.

"I think just providing this outlet of sports for different kids has allowed people to be able to find a passion and what it feels like to be able to be part of a team. .... I think everyone jumping up and down and cheering on each other of what we left behind on the court, just makes you feel like you're on top of the world."

In this episode of Tune In YRDSB, York Region Athletics Association (YRAA) Coordinator of Athletics Mark Arsenault is joined by YRAA President Jeff Masterson, Bill Hogarth Secondary School Coach/Department Head Sarah Succee and Student Athletes Spencer Dillon (Bill Hogarth Secondary School) and Amy Pletsas (King City Secondary School) to discuss athletics at the secondary school level.

Tune In YRDSB is the first podcast of its kind in Ontario, featuring a wide range of topics related to education.
