At Unionville High School, students are leading the “Wolfpack Gives Back” initiative to support their local community.
Organized by the Student (USAC), Enviro, and Wellness councils, this student-led effort combines a food drive for the Markham Food Bank with the school’s first-ever clothing drive. Driven by a passion to help those struggling during the holiday season, students from Grades 9 through 12 are working together to collect and sort donations for organizations like 360 Kids.
This year’s inaugural clothing drive was spearheaded by student Michelle and her peers, who brought the idea forward after seeing a need for warm clothing in the community. Her initiative demonstrates how one idea, supported by the Wolfpack community, can make a significant impact on the well-being of others.
