Aurora, ON – On March 27, 2024, York Region District School Board (YRDSB) ratified a new four-year collective agreement with the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario Teachers, York Region (ETFO-YR). ETFO-YR Members have previously ratified the agreement through a membership vote.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to extend our deep gratitude to our elementary Teachers for their unwavering support of students and their families,” said Board Chair Ron Lynn. “I am pleased that we have reached an agreement and would like to thank our Board staff and ETFO-YR for their leadership in ratifying this agreement.”

I am sincerely grateful for our ongoing professional and respectful relationships.”
The agreements between the YRDSB and ETFO-YR include items bargained locally. As part of the School Boards Collective Bargaining Act, the local agreement will be combined with the centrally bargained terms of the provincial agreement.
