York Region District School Board Appoints Clayton La Touche as Associate Director

Aurora, ON – At the Board meeting of July 10, 2018, Director of Education Louise Sirisko announced the appointment of Clayton La Touche as Associate Director of Education, effective August 1, 2018.

“Clayton is an experienced educational leader who will bring great expertise and strategic insight that will benefit our students and staff members,” said Director of Education, Louise Sirisko. “I’m proud to be appointing a strong leader who will work with our staff, students and their families and the community to continue implementing our strategic priorities and improve student achievement and well-being.”

The appointment follows a vacancy created as a result of the retirement of Associate Director Leslie Johnstone. La Touche currently serves as Superintendent of Education, Human Resource Services and Operations with York Region District School Board. He began his teaching career in 1994 and has served in many leadership positions including Vice Principal, Principal and Superintendent of Education with responsibility for families of schools. As one of three Associate Directors in the organization, La Touche will assume responsibility for supporting overall organizational goals, needs and priorities.

“I would like to congratulate Clayton on his new role,” said Board Chair, Corrie McBain. “The Board of Trustees is looking forward to continuing our work alongside a strong staff team and our communities to support students.”
