York Region District School Board EQAO Math Results

Aurora, ON– Results released today by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) show that York Region District School Board secondary students continue to demonstrate success in the province-wide testing.

For the Grade 9 mathematics assessment, 90% of York Region public secondary students in the “Academic” program and 55% of students in the “Applied” program achieved or exceeded the provincial standard.

This year, Bur Oak Secondary School in Markham has been recognized for its successes and will be featured on the EQAO Website.

Individual school results for the York Region District School Board will be published on EQAO’s website on October 28.

York Region District School Board is the third largest school district in Ontario with over 122,000 students in 174 elementary schools and 32 secondary schools. York Region students consistently perform above average in provincial testing and the Board is one of the top achievers in Ontario.
