To celebrate students’ learning, there will be two free one-hour long student concerts of the York Region Elementary Enrichment Band (YREEB). The YREEB is a unique pathways opportunity for accomplished and motivated music students in Grades 6 to 8. Following a successful audition, students from over 30 elementary schools across YRDSB will participate in a four-day enrichment band camp. Students will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Jessica Kun, associate professor from Wilfrid Laurier University, conductor of the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor of YREEB this year. York Region public schools have been invited to join in these celebration concerts.
