What:
YRDSB EcoCamp - An Environmental Leadership Camp
Through a variety of leadership experiences, six students from 16 schools work together to form a leadership team ready to return to their schools as motivated and passionate eco-leaders.
Some of the activities that the students will participate in include a “water quest,” a nature photography hike and a nature “close-up” using microscopes.

Why:
Established in 2000 and run by a group of teachers, this three day residential camp has been developed to meet the growing need for educators to instil environmental responsibility and stewardship into students.

96 students & 16 teachers participating from 16 different elementary schools across York Region.
