Additional Qualification (AQ) Courses

Registration for Additional Qualifications Courses - Spring 2026

The York Region District School Board is an approved provider of accredited Schedule C and D Additional Qualification Courses for Ontario teachers. Each course includes 125 hours of inquiry-based, experiential learning.

All classes are held online (synchronous). Dates are listed in the table below. Registration closes on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at noon.

All classes are held in a hybrid model from 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm. weekly. Courses begin the week of April 6, 2026 and end the week of June 16, 2026, recognizing Significant Faith Days.  Please see the courses offered below. 

Candidates are expected to attend all sessions.  Candidates who miss the first session will not be permitted to continue the course.

Note: that you will also receive a copy of your payment from Connect2Learn. Full payment is required before the course begins, regardless of any plans to apply for a subsidy. Payment must be made in full to confirm your registration.  

Candidates must:

1. complete the AQ registration form
2. upload necessary documentation and;
3. pay for the course to be enrolled.

Cost

The cost for each AQ Course is $650 + tax.
