Additional Qualification (AQ) Courses

Registration for Additional Qualifications Courses - Summer 2026

The York Region District School Board is an approved provider of accredited Schedule C and D Additional Qualification Courses for Ontario teachers. Each course includes 125 hours of inquiry-based, experiential learning.

Courses will be offered this summer in a hybrid model (online, synchronous and asynchronous learning), running every day from July 6 - July 17 2026. The following courses will be offered online (live and synchronous) from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. Registration closes on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 at noon.

Math P/J Part 1 will ALSO be offered as fully asynchronous (no “live” interactions) from July 6-July 31 2026. 

Candidates are expected to attend all sessions.  Candidates who miss the first session will not be permitted to continue the course.

Note: that you will also receive a copy of your payment from Connect2Learn. Full payment is required before the course begins, regardless of any plans to apply for a subsidy. Payment must be made in full to confirm your registration.  

Candidates must:

1. complete the AQ registration form
2. upload necessary documentation and;
3. pay for the course to be enrolled.

Cost

The cost for each AQ Course is $650 + tax.
