We believe that all learners, leaders and community members have a shared responsibility for minimizing their impact on the environment and for taking an active role in protecting it.
The Board has a number of programs in place in our schools and workplaces to model environmental sustainability, including:
- Litterless or boomerang lunch programs
- Water bottle refilling stations to reduce the use of water bottles
- A tracking program which measures and evaluates electrical demand and consumption in ‘real-time’ so schools can track their energy use
- Waste reduction programs, including vermicomposting
