Milliken Mills HS Students Are Taking it Outside for Earth Day

Students and staff at Milliken Mills HS will be taking it outside for Earth Day and engaging in environmental learning activities throughout Markham. The theme for the day’s activities is sustainability – Earth Day through an indigenous lens with a focus on local action.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9:00a.m. – 10:15a.m. - Land acknowledgement and keynote address from Indigenous Elder, Jacob Charles.

10:15a.m. – 11:30a.m. – Ecofair carousel and breakout workshops

11:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. – Environmental action projects across Markham and York Region
