York Region District School Board Launches New Website

March 30, 2021 – To ensure families can easily access clear and concise information about education in York Region, York Region District School Board has launched an updated and enhanced website.

The new www.yrdsb.ca features a built-in translation tool, enhanced search capabilities, integrated accessibility features and revised navigation based on user testing, website analytics and research. It also makes it easier for families to access online learning platforms and support using these tools through the Online Student Tools and Family Resource hubs. The new newsroom will also give families access to the latest news, videos and events to stay up-to-date with what’s happening in YRDSB.

“We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Board website”, said Cynthia Cordova, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “The new website provides a clean, easy-to-navigate experience for our families and other stakeholders to find the information they need about their child’s education and Board activities and initiatives.”

“Clear and concise communication in education is something we are continually striving to achieve” said YRDSB Director of Education Louise Sirisko.  “In designing this new website, we prioritized accessibility and making it easier for all of our users to find and access the information they need.”

The new website officially launched on Friday, March 26, 2021. School websites will also be updated to align with the new www.yrdsb.ca in the future.
