The Board recently held its first Centre for Black Student Excellence K-3 Conference. The conference brought together some of the Board's youngest Black identifying learners to learn more about Black Excellence.
"Young people have to see themselves, and so the Black Excellence Program gives young people the opportunity to come out and learn and discover who they are, and step into the possibility of what they can be," said Mawuli Chai, Strategist, Dismantling Anti-Black Racism, Centre for Black Student Excellence, YRDSB.
