How do I apply for a Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) position?
To create an amazing Arts Camp experience, we need amazing people!
- Counselor-In-Training (CIT) positions are open to Grade 9-12 students only (preference given to Grade 10 & 11 students). CITs work with a Counsellor to provide leadership to a cabin of campers for the duration of camp. All selected CITs also participate in our Leadership Training morning program at camp and select an Arts program of their choice for the afternoon.
- Counsellor positions are open to Grade 11 and 12 students. Counsellors provide leadership to a cabin of campers for the duration of camp and mentor the cabin CIT. All selected Counsellors participate in the Leadership Training workshop at camp and select an Arts program of their choice for the morning and afternoon program time. Selected counsellors generally have been through the YRDSB Arts Camp CIT leadership program (or similar) and/or come with leadership experience.
When are Counsellor-in-Training and Counsellor Applications available?
Application is open now to all students wishing to apply. The application is the final section of the camper/counsellor/counsellor-in-training application.
Please ensure you have reviewed the Camper Application Information package as well as the Leadership Role at Arts Camp before completing this application form.
Application Closes: Friday February 7, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
Late applications will not be considered.

Interviews will last about 10-15 minutes and take place between 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sign up information will be sent to all applicants on Saturday, February 8, 2025. If you submit an application and do not receive information by Monday, February 10, 2025 please email arts.camp@yrdsb.ca. |
| 3. Mandatory C/CIT Training | Sunday, April 27th, 2025 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) at Adrienne Clarkson P.S. |
| 4. Mandatory Family Information Night | Thursday, May 15th, 2024 (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.) at Richmond Green S.S. Counsellors and CITs must arrive by 6:00 p.m. |
