Castlemore P.S. welcomed students from eight different elementary schools and Special Olympics Ontario to participate in a morning of athletic events.
Students with special education needs participated in six different sports, including floor curling, basketball, bocce, soccer, floor hockey and bowling.
“My favourite part has been basketball because it’s fun. You can practice so you can become more active,” said Moosa, a student from Legacy P.S.
Grade 7 students took on leadership roles, helping to run the events.
