Our Board is the third largest school district in Ontario. Encompassing nine municipalities, York Region stretches from Steeles Avenue in the south to Lake Simcoe in the north.

We seek candidates who reflect and support the diverse perspectives, experiences and needs of our students and our community members. As a school board, our priorities are set out in the Board of Trustees’ Multi-Year Strategic Plan. To achieve those priorities, the Director’s Action Plan sets out organizational goals that align with the strategic plan and our Board’s Mission, Vision and Values. These documents provide important information that may be beneficial to applicants.

We are accepting OCT and non-certified language instructors for elementary courses (SK to Grade 8) and OCT teachers for secondary credit courses (Grade 9 to 12).

We have many volunteer opportunities in Indigenous Languages and International Languages. We also accept secondary students (grades 9 to 12) who are looking for volunteer hours.
