We are pleased to announce that the next YRDSB EdTech Camp will be held once again at Richmond Green Secondary School in Richmond Hill on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Joining us for the keynote presentations will be student Spark Talk speakers from around the Board, and Women With Passion & Purpose founder, Jessica Opoku.
Participants will engage in authentic, hands-on learning around the innovative integration of EdTech tools and resources for learning, teaching and assessment. The theme for EdTech Camp 2019 is “Amplify & Empower Student Voice.” The Director’s Annual Plan (DAP) states that YRDSB staff will raise the achievement and well-being of our underserved and underperforming students, by elevating student voice in learning, assessment and decision-making. Join us to learn how innovative tools, resources, or experiences can help to amplify and empower student voice!

Keynote Speaker - Jessica Opoku
Jessica Opoku is the 2018 Inspirational Speaker of the Year for Speaker Slam - Canada's premier inspirational speaking competition. She's known to many as "Jess(ica) with the dynamic voice". She captivates and inspires people to ignite and restore that ‘never give up attitude...it's in you!.' She is also a Founder and the Spokesperson of Women with Passion and Purpose, an organization that raises funds and additional supports for local community charities.
