Survey will collect feedback on qualities and characteristics of YRDSB’s new director

Aurora, ON – York Region District School Board has launched a survey to collect feedback on the qualities and characteristics community members would like to see in the Board’s new director of education.

The Board of Trustees has engaged the services of Phelpsgroup, a leading Canadian executive search firm, to gather input into the qualities and characteristics of the Board’s new director of education. You can share your opinion through an online survey. The survey is available on the Board’s website.

“The hiring of the director of education is one of the most important roles of the Board of Trustees and one we take very seriously,” said Loralea Carruthers, Chair of the Board. “Community engagement and feedback is an integral part of this process and we look forward to hearing from as many community members as possible.”

The survey results will be submitted electronically directly to the consulting company. The survey results will be used to inform the position description and evaluation criteria for the recruitment process. All responses will be held in strict confidence by the consultant. Responses received by September 17, 2017 will be considered in the initial development of the Director of Education job description and candidate profile. Responses received after this date and prior to October 1, 2017 will be shared with trustees for their information.
