Prestigious Awards

Prestigious awards are highly competitive awards that usually won by high achieving students.

  • Prestigious Awards at Specific Ontario Universities - For a complete list of Prestigious Awards at Specific Ontario Universities, use the OUinfo Scholarship Tool and as one of the Search Criteria, choose By Application: Required. Criteria varies from university to university and scholarship to scholarship.
     
  • Duke of Edinburgh's Award - Designed to help young people develop a sense of responsibility in themselves and their community by expanding their horizons, the Award has evolved into one of the most comprehensive individual development, self-training and personal achievement programmes in the world. This is a non-monetary award.
     
  • Governor General’s Awards (bronze) – This is awarded to the student who achieves the highest average upon graduation from a secondary school. The Governor General's website lists the criteria for eligibility. There is no monetary award associated with the Medal.
