Students Build Skills Using Coding and Robotics

Five schools were part of a pilot program that looked to integrate coding and robotics into the curriculum in special education settings.

Hear from staff and students about how coding and robotics have let them explore different curriculum areas while enhancing engagement, and fostering independence.

"In different areas, in different special education settings, the schools have had an opportunity to work with a number of different robots with the support of assistive technology consultants, special education consultants, and regulated health professionals to develop lessons and routines with using robotics to support student learning, engagement and independence," said Megan Scott, Special Education Consultant, York Region District School Board.
