Students across York Region District School Board recently competed in the York Region Skills Challenge, which returned to an in-person event this year.
This annual event brings together students in York Region elementary and secondary schools to compete in skills-based challenges. Students prepare throughout the year to showcase their skills and talents in individual or team competitions.
"The opportunity to come out here and experience the competition is alone a big reward for us because throughout the year we've been building, we've been practicing, test driving, prototyping," said Derek, a student competitor.
