Students at Kleinburg PS Explore African Culture Through Drumming

Students and educators at Kleinburg PS came together for a hands-on African drumming experience, kicking off Black History Month with rhythm, culture and learning.

Through the power of the djembe drum, students explored musical expression, teamwork and the rich traditions of African heritage. Led by guest instructor, Babrinde Williams, this interactive session sparked meaningful discussions on identity, history and the universal language of music.

“These cultural learning experiences are so meaningful to the children and to our family because it gives them an opportunity to learn about different cultures and different traditions within those cultures in a way that they otherwise would never have the opportunity to do so,” said Stephanie, parent at Kleinburg P.S.
