Students will be presenting workshops for teachers and students about using technological tools and software for education. Topics range from coding, robotics and virtual reality to the responsible use of technology.

This is part of the Board’s Modern Learning Strategy which focuses on equipping students with the skills and mindsets they need to be engaged and caring citizens of the world. This includes using technology to enhance learning, collaboration and engagement.

York Region District School Board students and staff members.
Keynote speaker Yumi Lee is a Grade 7 student who shares her passion for creating things through her experiences of blogging, baking and starting her own successful online business, encouraging people to explore their creative sides and become makers. She presented a TED talk in Kitchener last spring.
