Aurora, ON - The York Region District School Board values parent, family and community engagement in public education and the positive impact it has on student achievement and well-being. The York Region District School Board is accepting applications for membership on the Board’s Parent, Family and Community Engagement Advisory Committee (PEAC).
Applications are due June 15, 2020.
PEAC supports, encourages and enhances parent engagement at the Board level in order to improve student achievement and well-being. It represents the collective voice of parents who have children attending public schools in York Region.
Members are expected to attend a minimum of six meetings each year at the Education Centre in Aurora. The first meeting date for the new membership is November 12, 2020.
Applications
Parents/guardians interested in serving as a member of PEAC are asked to submit an electronic application by June 15, 2020 (final deadline) or calling Education and Community Services at 905-727-0022 ext. 2242 to submit a paper application.

Interested applicants are invited to attend a virtual information session to learn more about this parent engagement opportunity.
