What is ScreenShot Reader?
Screenshot Reader is a separate extension that may need to be added on demand when you select the button from the Read&Write for Google Chrome web, Google Docs or Slides toolbars.
Why would someone need it?
Screenshot reader allows the user to have text read aloud to them.
What is it used for?
Screenshot Reader helps to make text accessible by reading images and pdf files that are otherwise inaccessible.
Where is it used?
Google Chrome extension used with Read&Write for Google Chrome.

Please log into Google Chrome using your child’s account. The account username looks like this for all students: studentnumber@gapps.yrdsb.ca. Your child’s student number and password is provided by their teacher. If you are using a Chromebook and have logged in with this account: studentnumber@gapps.yrdsb.ca. How to Use Screenshot Reader With Read&Write for Google Chrome

Click the Screenshot Reader button on the toolbar and your cursor will change to a crosshair (+). Select some text by holding your mouse button then release when text is selected. |
