Elementary Students Learn About Skilled Trades Opportunities

About 1,000 students in grades 7 and 8 had the opportunity to visit colleges to learn more about skilled trades pathways and opportunities.

Students had the opportunity to visit different colleges, try a variety of hands-on activities in a post-secondary environment, and dive into the world of trades and technology.

"Through this experience, I feel like some people may be able to determine their future careers. We also got to test out things that we liked and did not like," said Rosanne, Grade 8 student at Highgate P.S.

"I love how immersive it's been and it's really eye-opening to see what things I can learn in the future and maybe what I might want to do in the future," said Leon, a Grade 8 student at Highgate P.S.
