Students from the Thornhill SS entrepreneurship club presented their ideas and business plans at a provincial showcase.
After participating in the York Region Entrepreneurship Showcase at Seneca Helix last May, they earned a spot to participate in the Inaugural Skills Ontario: Provincial Entrepreneurship Showcase.
The four students were recently recognized with a York Region District School Board Applause Award.
“There’s millions of paths for entrepreneurship and it’s just wahat you think of what your creativity is and how you like to innovate your own business,” said Vasilios, a Grade 12 student at Thornhill SS.
“It was very good to be selected at the regional level,” said Z, a Grade 12 student at Thornhill SS. “I felt very inspired, I feel very motivated.”
The Provincial Entrepreneurship Showcase, held as part of the Skills Ontario Competition, provided a platform for student entrepreneurs to present their ideas, business plans, and deliver short elevator pitches to a live audience.
