Welcome to the YRDSB Family Dashboard.
The dashboard will give you secure one-stop access to information and applications related to your child’s education. It is designed to make it easier for families to engage with their child’s education.
In this first phase, the dashboard will include secure access to report cards and links to useful information for parents/guardians.
Please ensure your school office has your up-to-date email address, and student home address postal code before creating your account. We also encourage parents/guardians to have individual email addresses to access the Family Dashboard, rather than one shared email address.
Please note, you can still request a printed copy of your child’s report card if you prefer by contacting your child’s school.
We will continue to update information on this page.
Important notes before setting up your account:
- If you wish to use a different email or do not have an email on file with your child's school, please contact the school to update your email on file before creating your account. YRDSB email addresses (@yrdsb.ca, @gapps.yrdsb.ca) will not be accepted.
- Each account must have a unique email address, if you have a shared family address that is being used by more than one contact, you will only be able to set up one account. If you would like to set up individual accounts for access, one of the contacts will need to contact the school and update their email address on file with the school.
- As long as your email on file is the same for all your children when you sign in to the Family Dashboard, you should see all of your children.
- Passwords are required to be a minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 256 characters. Requires three out of four of the following types of characters: - Lowercase characters - Uppercase characters - Numbers (0-9) - Symbols.
- If you are not sure of your child’s Student Number, it is your Student’s Login for Google Classroom.
- You only need information for one student to create your account, once created as long as your email on file is the same for all your children, when you sign in to the Family Dashboard, you should see all of your children.
- Once you have set up your account, you can access the dashboard using family.yrdsb.ca or under Family Resources, which can be found on the homepage from the Board website or school websites.
- If you forget your password – from the login screen, select the forgot password in order to create a new password.

Families are not required to have a family dashboard account.
