End of Year Message 2022-2023

Last updated on

Dear families,

As we reach the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for all that you have done to make this year a successful one.

This was our first full school year without disruptions since the global pandemic started, and it has been such a pleasure to welcome families back into our schools and to watch students re-engage with the activities they have missed and try new ones. The students in our schools continue to inspire us with their creativity, curiosity and achievements. We look forward to welcoming many of them into our summer learning programs in the coming months.

As a school board, we will continue to strive to create learning and working environments that support student learning, well-being and achievement and where everyone who walks through our doors feel safe, valued, respected and a strong sense of belonging and community.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank our professional, dedicated and caring staff members who work every day to help to create these environments, and to help students reach their full potential through excellent instruction and ongoing support.

We offer our sincere congratulations to all of our graduating students and wish you all the very best for the next stage in your journey. For those returning in 2023-2024, you can find the calendars for all our schools on our website.

As we look forward to the 2023-2024 school year, we look forward to welcoming incoming Director of Education Bill Cober, who begins in the role August 1, 2023. Please take the time to watch this message from Director of Education (Interim) Scott Yake and incoming Director of Education Bill Cober.

We hope this summer brings opportunities to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. Have a safe and happy summer break.

Sincerely,

Ron Lynn, Chair

Scott Yake, Director of Education (Interim)
