The 2013 Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Symposium is a provincial-wide initiative that explores promising practices in community engagement and organizational change towards embracing diversity, equity and inclusivity. The symposium aims to illustrate cutting edge practices wherever they may exist in organizational infrastructure processes, community engagement and customer/client satisfaction. It will impart practical applications, robust methods and practices and tested implementation methodologies.

Attend, be engaged and leave with promising practices in areas such as:

  1. Achieving a diverse workforce through cutting-edge recruitment, hiring and retention practices

  2. Training and Development: Educational and empowerment initiatives

  3. Leadership and organizational change through a lens of inclusivity and equity

  4. Optimizing the benefits of a diverse workforce: Required organizational structures and development

  5. Becoming and being an employer who embraces LGBTQ, aboriginal and differently-abled identities

  6. Quality assurance and organizational evaluation

  7. Innovative ways to engage service user/customers/clients

  8. Proven ways to address workplace harassment, violence and/or discrimination

  9. Multigenerational and multicultural trends in the workforce: Understanding and optimizing their benefits

Registration fee: $195 before March 10, 2013. $225 on or after March 10, 2013.

Display Tables:

Display tables can be purchased for your organization to advertise your organization's products or services during the symposium. The fee for display tables is $75 for not-for-profit organizations and $150 for for-profit organizations. If your organization wishes to purchase a display table for the symposium please complete the Display Table Registration and Payment Form and submit it to Kinark Child and Family Services.

Sheraton Parkway Jacuzzi Suite: $164 + 16% taxes and fees per night
