Community Action Programs for Children (CAPC)

The Community Action Programs for Children (CAPC) helps families with young children (birth to 6) living in conditions which may impact on their ability to reach optimal health. The program assists vulnerable families to increase both adult and child health, develop problem-solving skills and social networks, and to engage in their communities.

Participants of CAPC programs can expect an opportunity to: play and interact with their child and learning materials, network with other adults, receive tips on nutrition, school readiness and managing their child’s behaviour, as well as access to parent resources and referrals to early years services within the community.

For further information about CAPC visit the CAPC website or contact York Child Development CD at 905-830-1888.
