OEN number required for YRDSB students

Student nine-digit OEN numbers are required on the 2026 Summer Institute online registration form for current YRDSB students. The student OEN number is located on your child’s report card.

Please have the student OEN number available for each YRDSB student before you begin the online registration process in order to avoid delay. Applicants will not be able to process a YRDSB student registration without the student’s OEN number.

How to Register?

1. Choose the date, location and electives (where applicable) for your child’s participation.
2. Register using one of the registration methods below.
3. Extended childcare will be offered at select Summer Institute locations, through a third-party provider for an additional cost. Extended childcare offerings will be dependent on availability and interest. More information coming soon.

Registration and Pa​yment Methods

Choose one of the three methods below:

1. Online

• ​​Create a new account or access your existing Edsby parent account to register your child online​.
• Please have your credit card (Visa/MasterCard) or PayPal account ready.
• Registration opens Spring 2026. Date will be updated once available.
• Please note: phones / tablets are not recommended for use.

2. In​ Pe​​rso​n At Summ​er I​nstitute Site Location*

• ​Cheque or Money Order payable to YRDSB Summer Institute
• From the first day of registration to June 12, 2026 Parents/guardians may drop off completed registration forms, with payment, to Summer Institute Site Locations only to be sent via board courier to the Summer Institute Regional office.
• Registration forms will be reviewed once they are arrive from the Summer Institute Location in the Regional Office, at the Dr. Bette Stephenson Centre for Learning and processed if there are any remaining spaces available in the program.
• After June 29, 2026 completed registration forms will be accepted at Summer Institute Site Locations, provided program spaces are available.

3. B​y ​​Mail*

• ​Cheque or Money Order payable to YRDSB Summer Institute.
• Prior to June 12, 2026 Parents/guardians may drop off completed registration forms, with payment, to Summer Institute Site Locations to be sent via board courier to the Summer Institute Regional office.
• Or, can be mailed directly to the Summer Institute Regional Office, Mailing Address: Summer Institute Regional Office - Dr. Bette Stephenson Centre for Learning, 36 Regatta Ave. Richmond Hill L4E 4R1.
• ​Mailed registration forms with payment received prior to June 23, 2025 will be processed when they are received in the Regional Office, at the Dr. Bette Stephenson Centre for Learning, provided program space is available.

*Note: Please allow time for mailed registration forms and pickup and delivery of registration forms, from the Summer Institute sites, to arrive at the Regional Office. Registration forms received prior to June 22, 2026 will be processed when they are received in the Regional Office, at the Dr. Bette Stephenson Centre for Learning, provided program space is available. After June 29, 2026, completed registration forms, with payment, will be accepted at all Summer Institute Site Locations, if program space is available.​
 

Base registration weekly fees

Cancellation Policy

• Before June 1, 2026 will be fully refunded, less a $25.00 per week, per child, administration surcharge.
• After June 1, 2026, the full registration fee is non-refundable unless the request is accompanied by a medical certificate indicating that the participant can no longer attend due to medical reasons.​ Challenges to credit card payments may be subject to a $20.00 fee.

Summer Institute Registration Dates

Weekly Sessions June 29, 2026 to August 7, 2026:
Week A: June 29 – July 3 (4-day week)

Week B: July 6 – 10

Week C: July 13 – 17

Week D: July 20 – 24

Week E: July 27 – July 31

Week F: August 4 - 7 (4-day week)
*There will be no program on July 1, 2025
