Expand Your Learning Opportunities
There are many opportunities for you to earn secondary school credits outside of the regular day school program.
Before registering, speak with your guidance counsellor. You may need their approval and they can help determine which opportunities are available to you and how they fit with your graduation plan.

Adult Day School
Adult Day School gives adults the opportunity to return to school to pursue the goals they originally set out for themselves. Learn more about Adult Day School.
Aquatic Leadership Program
The Aquatic Leadership Program offers students a unique opportunity to earn high school credits while gaining swim, lifeguarding and instructor certifications. Learn more about the Aquatic Leadership Program.
Indigenous Languages and International Languages

Night School
Night school offers two online learning options: remote learning delivered virtually in real-time and online courses that use an asynchronous model. Learn more about Night School.
Music Certificates Accepted For Credit
Students who are working towards their OSSD are able to use specified music certificates towards credits. For more information about the certificate requirements, please contact the Guidance Services Department in your school. Learn more in the Ontario Schools, K-12 Policy and Program Requirements.
Personalized Alternative Education
You can earn credits in a smaller class environment with personalized timetables and alternative learning approaches to meet your individual needs. If you are interested in earning credits within your regular day school in the form of alternate environments, speak to your guidance counsellor.
Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Challenge
Students may receive credits by successfully completing a formal evaluation and accreditation process to demonstrate that they already possess the knowledge and skills as outlined in the Curriculum documents provided by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
