The Great War Through Canadian Eyes

Between 1914 and 1918, more than 628,000 Canadians served in the war effort. Everyone was affected by the war in a personal way, whether they were fighting at the front lines or farming at home.

The YRDSB has put together this exhibition using artefacts from our collection in recognition of York Region's role in the First World War. Clare Noxon curated this exhibit while working as a summer student at the Museum & Archives.  She was a co-op student here at the museum and is a YRDSB graduate.
