We have a Staff Well-Being and Mental Health Strategy.
This strategy guides the YRDSB in maintaining a healthy and productive workforce that ultimately supports student success. Staff well-being involves supporting staff members to maintain a balance between physical, cognitive, emotional and social resources and challenges.
We offer staff mental health and well-being resources.
Through the Employee and Family Assistance Program, YRDSB employees who are eligible for regular benefits and their families can access free, confidential support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues. There are over 40 different webinars available to staff to access at any time on wellness topics.
We also share information and additional resources on a variety of topics with employees to support their personal wellness.

Employee well-being is important. Disconnecting from work at appropriate times is a significant part of achieving personal well-being and sustaining a healthy work-life balance. This procedure has been established to support employee wellness and help employees disconnect from their work outside of their regular working hours.
