The medical insurance coverage is subject to limitations and exclusions. Students who require care for unstable or chronic/ongoing conditions will have to pay for medical treatments directly. More information about the insurance provided can be found at www.studyinsured.com/york

In some medical emergencies and/or hospital visits it will be necessary for students to pay first for medical care. We strongly recommend that students are provided with the ability to pay for these circumstances by either having money available to them, or a credit card to pay for such emergencies.
If you need to see a doctor or go to a hospital, you must contact the emergency assistance number immediately. When calling this number you will talk to a representative who can ensure that you get the right treatment, right away, and can help you with handling claims.
