The referral process guides the specific steps to identifying and supporting students who require individualized programming in order for the student to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
Through the use of assessment, instruction and programming, and with the support of a multidisciplinary team made up of teachers, administrators and Student Services professionals (i.e. Psychological Services, SLPs and PT/OTs), students can be properly identified and supported.
The steps in the referral process include:
- Development of Growth Plan(s)
- In-School Team Meetings
- Identification, Placement, and Review Committee (IPRC)
- Individual Education Plan (IEP)
