How to Register
Review the category that best describes your current status and apply accordingly.
If you are registered at one of the regular York Region District School Board schools, apply as a YRDSB Student. A complete application consists of:
A completed Online Application for the Town of Aurora, City of Markham, or City of Richmond Hill.
Confirmation that your application has been received will be emailed from the Continuing Education Office to both the student and Town of Aurora, City of Markham or City of Richmond Hill. It will include details regarding payment and proof of eligibility.
Payment of fees must be made to the Town of Aurora, City of Markham or City of Richmond Hill for course material prior to the first day of class.
Note: Students with IEPs should submit a copy of their IEPs to the teacher on the first day of classes.
If you are registered in a regular day school at another school board such as YCDSB, TDSB, TCDSB, etc., apply as a Non-YRDSB Student. A complete application consists of:
A completed Online Application for the Town of Aurora, City of Markham, or City of Richmond Hill.

If you are not registered in a regular day school, apply as a Non-Student. A complete application consists of:
- Submit your documentation as listed in the table below to aquaticleadership@yrdsb.ca.
- A completed Online Application for the Town of Aurora, City of Markham, or City of Richmond Hill.
- Confirmation that your application has been received will be emailed from the Continuing Education Office to both the student and Town of Aurora, City of Markham or City of Richmond Hill. It will include details regarding payment and proof of eligibility.
- Payment of fees must be made to the Town of Aurora, City of Markham or City of Richmond Hill for course material prior to the first day of class.
