  • Set a consistent study time for each day
  • Set time limits when you study, plan breaks (for snacks, movement)
  • Get enough sleep, eat properly and exercise
  • Make sure that you’ve brought home all necessary materials to do your work

Share Studying with Others

  • Talk to a friend about what you’ve learned
  • Teaching a friend is a great way to support and extend your learning
  • Have someone ask you questions about what you’re learning

Take Notes

  • Make sure you include clear headings, unit title, the date and your name
  • When reading, or researching online, take notes
  • Read your notes out loud
  • Write questions to ask your teacher

Read

  • Use your textbook and other reading material to review important information
  • Use sticky notes to keep track of key ideas, terms and concepts
  • Use a highlighter to underline main ideas in your notebook
